| Abstract | A one-liter sample of wastewater is spiked with an internal standard of labeled 2,3,7,8-TCDD. The spiked sample is then extracted with methylene chloride using separatory funnel techniques. The extract is concentrated and exchanged to hexane while being concentrated to a volume of 1.0 mL or less. Capillary column GC/MS conditions are described which allow for the separation and measurement of 2,3,7,8-TCDD in the extract. |
